ABOUT THE BOOK
Put Me In The Zoo is a
charming story about a
yellow animal with
magical spots that really
wants to live at the zoo.
After his friends see all
the wonderful things he
can do with his spots,
they help him find a
much better place live!

  • Buy a small helium tank at a party store
or discount store and fill red balloons
with helium and watch the "spots" float
away just like in the story.
  • Yellow animal free printable: place
colored circle stickers on the yellow
    animal or color with Do-a-Dot
markers. You may also roll small
pieces of Play-Doh and squish them
    flat creating circles (we recommend
you laminate the yellow animal if
    using Play-Doh). (print me)
  • Fill the tub with plastic balls and let
your child bury himself in the "spots"!
  • Color Match - Cut out the cards on pg
2 of the free printable (see below) &
place them on the correct color. (print
    me)

  • Color Cards - Cut out the cards - clip a
clothespin to the right answer. If your
child is reading, you can cut out the
words and have him place the correct
word on the color.  (print me)
  • Cut out circles of different colors or
use circle stickers and stick them all
    over your child. Encourage your
child to stick them to you. Take
turns putting the circles on each
    other.
